I. Purpose:

The safety performance of the battery is tested by extrusion test. After the test, the battery should not catch fire or explode. It is also an indispensable testing equipment for battery manufacturers and research institutes.

2.Test Method：

2.1,The battery is squeezed between two plates. Extrusion force through with diameter 32mmThe hydraulic pressure head of the piston is applied. The extrusion continues until the pressure reading on the hydraulic head reaches 17.2Mpa,The force is approximately 13KN. Once the maximum pressure is reached, the pressure can be relieved.

2.2,The cylindrical prismatic cell is subjected to extrusion with its longitudinal axis parallel to the plane of the extrusion device. The prismatic battery is also rotated 90 degrees around its longitudinal axis.° Place so that both the wide and narrow sides can withstand the squeezing force. Each sample cell was subjected to pressure only in one direction. A different sample was used for each test.
